Simple Cookie Recipes ? ? ? ?

Does anyone have any simple cookie recipes ? ?





Im going to make them on Friday or my friend for her birthday, as im going to do a little hamper with body stuff, music, jewelry, balloons and cookies

All these cookies are simple given that you thoroughly mix the sugar(s) and margarine until a creamy color is achieved and you scrape the bowl and and continue mixing after adding the eggs.





Almond Icebox Cookies





Ingredients


鈥?陆 cup margerine


鈥?陆 cup brown sugar


鈥?戮 cup sugar


鈥?1 egg


鈥?2 tsp almond extract


鈥?陆 cup sliced almonds


鈥?2 cups whole wheat flour


鈥?2 tsp baking powder


鈥?录 tsp salt


鈥?1 tbsp milk





Form into logs; wrap and chill at least 2 hours (freezer for fasted thaw); unwrap, slice, bake at 400 degrees for 5-8 minutes.





Chocolate Chip Cookies





Ingredients


鈥?1 cup margerine


鈥?陆 cup sugar


鈥?陆 cup brown sugar


鈥?1 tsp vanilla


鈥?2 eggs


鈥?3 cups flour


鈥?1 tsp soda


鈥?陆 tsp salt


鈥?1 bag chocolate chips





Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes








These cookies can be simple to make if you roll them into logs like the almond icebox, chill them, then just slice them instead of cutting them with cutters.





Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies





Ingredients


鈻?2 cups light brown sugar


鈻?1 tbsp ground ginger


鈻?陆 tsp salt


鈻?陆 cup cocoa


鈻?陆 cup boiling water


鈻?陆 cup molasses


鈻?1 tbsp cinnamon


鈻?陆 tsp allspice


鈻?录 tsp ground cloves


鈻?1 tsp baking soda


鈻?1 cup unsalted butter


鈻?4 陆 cups flour (3 of which whole wheat)





In a large bowl add sugar, spices, baking soda, and cocoa. Add boiling water and stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in butter until melted. Add molasses and gradually stir in flour.





Knead dough when it becomes too stiff to stir. Divide dough into workable portions and roll out into 录 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter and decorate as desired.





Bake 10-15 minutes





Chocolate Snowballs





Ingredients


鈥?1 录 cup margerine


鈥?2/3 cup sugar


鈥?2 tsp vanilla


鈥?2 陆 cups flour


鈥?陆 tsp salt


鈥?陆 cup unsweetened cocoa





Form small balls, bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. When barely warm, roll in powdered sugar.








Oatmeal Raisin Cookies





Ingredients


鈥?1 cup margerine


鈥?1 cup packed brown sugar


鈥?陆 cup granulated sugar


鈥?2 eggs


鈥?1 tsp vanilla


鈥?2-2 录 cups flour


鈥?1 tsp baking soda


鈥?1 tsp cinnamon


鈥?陆 tsp salt


鈥?3 cups oats


鈥?1 cup raisins





Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes








Snickerdoodles





Ingredients


鈥?1 cup margerine


鈥?1 陆 cup sugar


鈥?2 eggs


鈥?2 戮 cup flour


鈥?2 tsp cream of tartar


鈥?1 tsp baking powder


鈥?录 tsp salt





Roll into balls; roll in mix of 2 tbsp sugar + 2 tsp cinnamon


Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes








Sugar Cookies





Ingredients


鈥?4 sticks margarine, softened


鈥?2 录 cups sugar


鈥?4 eggs


鈥?录 cup milk


鈥?2 tsp almond extract


鈥?2 tsp vanilla


鈥?2 tsp baking powder


鈥?7 录 cups flour


鈥?1 tsp salt


鈥?1/8 tsp cardamom





Cream the margarine and sugar together until it appears airy and lighter in color. Add one egg at a time, then the milk, almond extract, and vanilla extract. Scrape the sides well and mix again.


In a large measuring cup, measure out 4 cups of flour and add the baking powder, salt, and cardamom. Mix and fluff up the dry ingredients with a fork. Add in small increments to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined in between. Add the remaining flour in the same manner until the dough is not sticky to the touch (you may need to add more flour than the recipe calls for).


Turn dough out onto clean surface and divide into 4-6 equal sized batches. Wrap in plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate at least 4 hours.


Roll out, cut out, and decorate as desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

ORIGINAL GIRL SCOUT COOKIES





2 sticks butter, softened and cut into chunks


1 cup sugar


2 large eggs, room temperature


2 tablespoons milk


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


2-1/2 cups all purpose flour


2 teaspoons baking powder


Sugar for sprinkling (opt)





In a mixing bowl (by hand if you want to be authentic), cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition Add milk and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Combine flour and baking powder and gradually add this to creamed mixture. Now you鈥檒l have to chill this before rolling out (normally you can roll most cookies out between two pieces of clear wrap or two permanent baking mats like I鈥檓 using which are available at The Great Indoors and which eliminate any greasing of cookie sheets, and then refrigerate them before cutting out, but this dough is simply too soft to do that) and that will take anywhere from 2 to 24 hours. Roll out on a lightly floured surface about 1/4'; thick. Cut and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar if you like. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes (8 for a softer cookie; 10 for a more crisp cookie). Cool on wire racks. Makes about 4 dozen 2-1/2'; cookies.






Chocolate Pudding Cookies


2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour


1 teaspoon baking soda


1 cup butter, softened


3/4 cup packed light brown sugar


1/4 cup white sugar


1 (3.4 ounce) package instant butterscotch pudding mix


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


2 eggs


12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips





Preheat oven to 375*. Combine the flour and soda and set aside. Mix the butter, sugars, pudding mix and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Add in the eggs and mix well. Gradually stir in the flour. Stir in the chocolate chips and drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes.








Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip





1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened


1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar


1/2 cup white sugar


1/2 teaspoon salt


2/3 cup peanut butter


2 eggs


1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract


2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


2 teaspoons baking soda


2 cups semisweet chocolate chips





Preheat oven to 350* In large bowl, cream together butter, sugars, salt and peanut butter. Beat in eggs and vanilla and then add the flour and soda. Mix well and then add chips. Roll balls of dough and drop onto greased cookie sheet 2'; apart. Flatten a bit with the bottom of a glass. Bake 10 - 12 minutes and then let cool.






Cake mix cookies IV- Allrecipes.com- these are the greatest cookies ever, you can make about 4 dozen(1 cake mix) in about 20 minutes, and that includes the baking time. I recommend pulling them from the oven after they have raised a little bit and the top starts to look wrinkled. Let them set on the cookie sheet for about 4 minutes then transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Store in an airtight container and they are just yummy and easy. Use funfetti mix for a party cookie.

2 eggs


1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix


1/2 cup vegetable oil








DIRECTIONS


Mix together cake mix, eggs and oil in a large bowl.


Make little balls with the dough and set on ungreased cookie sheets.


Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 4 - 10 minutes.

I'm a fan of snickerdoodles, but bettycrocker.com has great cookie recipes.
