Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie Bars

2 ¼ cups flour

1 tsp. Baking powder

pinch of salt

1 ½ cups lightly packed brown sugar

1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter or margarine

1 tsp. Vanilla

1 cup peanut butter

2 eggs

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350ยบ and lightly grease a 9” x 13” cake pan. Sift together the flour and baking powder onto a sheet of wax paper (or medium bowl) and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light. Add the vanilla and peanut butter and mix until well blended. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix until each is well blended.

Add the dry ingredients, a little at a time, and mix until well blended. Fold in the chocolate chips, pour into pan and spread out evenly.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown. The edges will be darker brown and if you use a dark cake pan, you will need to check it after 20 minutes. Let cool on a rack for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

i defintely suggest trying them out.
The classical chocolate chip would do.
I love cookies!!!!

There are many good recipes out there, and I'm not sure what you are looking for. I love chocolate chip, and that's always good, but I usually use the Pillsbury dough for that.

One I actually made from scratch was on the back of the Jiff peanut butter bottle (3 guesses as to what type of cookie it was!)

and I added chocolate chips-mmmmmmmm! Delicious!
I use yellow cake mix ( follow dir. but, leave out the water), add mini chocolate chips, drop by rounded teaspoons, and bake. How much simplier can it get. Bake at 350 for 5-8 minutes or til golden brown..
