1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 egg

1 egg yolk

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.

Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.

Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Many of the world's best chefs are men. You're fine.

Here is a basic sugar cookie recipe:

1/2 cup lard or vegetable shortening, melted and cooled

1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, melted and cooled

1 cup sugar plus additional for coating the cookies

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

3/4 teaspoon salt

In a large bowl stir together the lard or shortening, the butter, 1 cup of the sugar, the egg, and the vanilla. Into the bowl sift together the flour, the baking soda, and the salt and stir the mixture until it forms a dough. Chill the dough, covered, for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 375掳F. Roll rounded tablespoons of the dough into balls, roll the balls in the additional sugar, coating them completely, and arrange them 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Flatten the balls with the bottom of a glass dipped in the sugar (the edges will crack slightly) and bake the cookies in batches in the middle of the oven for 8 to 12 minutes, or until they are pale golden. Transfer the cookies to racks and let them cool. The cookies keep in an airtight container for 1 week.
If you have peanut butter (smooth or chunky, it doesn't matter), then I would recommend these--they're delicious cookies and you won't find an easier recipe!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup white sugar

1 egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

Combine ingredients and drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes. Let cool.

*One note, you might want to double the ingredients, since this doesn't make very many cookies.

No Bob, nothing wrong with that, it actually explains all the money being spent on the xbox 360 LOL

Here is my very favorite peanut butter cookie recipe.This cookie got its name because a whole 18-ounce jar of peanut butter is used to make it. It is the creamiest, moistest cookie I have ever had, and bound to be a favorite with anyone who makes them. Just don't over bake them!

Whole Jar Of Peanut Butter Cookies

* 1 cup butter, softened

* 1 cup white sugar

* 1 cup packed brown sugar

* 2 egg

* 1 egg yolk

* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

* 1 (18 ounce) jar peanut butter

* 2 cups all-purpose flour

* 1 teaspoon baking soda

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

* 1 cup chopped peanuts

1. In a large bowl, cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, yolks, and vanilla; mix until fluffy. Stir in peanut butter. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Finally, stir in the peanuts. Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours.

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a cookie sheet.

3. Roll dough into walnut sized balls. Place on the prepared cookie sheet and flatten slightly with a fork. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies should look dry on top. Allow to cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet before removing to cool completely on a rack. These cookies taste great when slightly undercooked.
