Know a good cookie recipe?

I want to make some cookies, any cookies! I just can't decide what kind.

Perferably NOT chocolate chip or peanut butter and one that uses little or no butter because I don't have much.

So do you know or can find a good recipe?Know a good cookie recipe?
Since you used Recipezaar for your brownie recipe (hope they turned out - you had one good answer so I did not respond), try this recipe for Simple Oatmeal cookies:

You say you are low on butter which is one of the reasons I chose this recipe - it uses melted butter. You can replace the melted butter with oil. You use equal amounts so in this case, use 1/2 cup oil in place of the 1/2 cup butter. If you have a 1/4 cup of butter (half a stick), melt it and use it - it will add flavor to the cookies. Just remember to remove 1/4 cup of oil to make it all equal.
