Plain Ole Fashion Peanut Butter Cookies:
2 c sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 c peanut butter
1c butter or margarine( melted)
3 c flour
2 tlbsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Cream butter and sugar add peanut butter and eggs, beat well, add vanilla, flour and soda,add to cream mixture, roll into balls and press with floured fork,bake at 350 or until golden brown.Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe?

Mix together thoroughly ....
2 Cups Soft Shortening
5 Cups Brown Sugar
4 Eggs
3 Cups Creamy Peanut Butter
3/4 Cup Milk
4 Tablespoons Vanilla
Stir in ...
5 Cups Sifted Flour
3 Teaspoons Soda
3 Teaspoon Salt
4 Teaspoons Ginger
4 Teaspoons Cinnamon
Instructions ....
Drop by heaping spoonfuls 2 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten slightly in crisscross pattern with tines of large fork.
This gives signature of peanut cookies.
Dipping fork in sugar will keep fork from sticking.
Bake at ...
375 degrees F. 7-8 Minutes. Bake just until set or just beginning to brown.. Allow to cool a few minutes. Remove to cooling rack.
Makes about 12 dozen
2 1/2 inch cookies.

Peanut Butter Cookies
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1/2 cup Butter, softened
1 cup packed Light Brown Sugar
1 Egg
2 1/4 cups Self-rising Flour
1 tsp. Vanilla
Set oven to 350 degrees. Cut up the butter in a bowl. Add sugar and cream them together until fluffy. Add peanut butter, flour and egg; beat until the dough is smooth. Roll into balls and flatten with fork. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until desired doneness. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 to 3 minutes then move to wire rack. Cool and store in an airtight container.
I have even doubled the recipe for my hubby who loves these!

Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies I

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter (Do Not Use old-fashioned style or freshly ground)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1. Preheat oven to 350*F (175*C). Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat butter, peanut butter and vanilla in a large bowl until well blended. Beat in both sugars. Scrape down sides of bowl. Stir half of dry ingredients into mixture. Add eggs 1 at a time, stirring well after each addition. Mix in remaining dry ingredients.
3. For each cookie, roll 1 heaping tablespoonful of dough into 1 3/4 -inch ball. Arrange dough balls 2 1/2-inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Using back of a fork, flatten dough and form crosshatch design on tops.
4. Bake cookies until dry on top and golden brown on bottom, about 14 minutes.
5. Cool cookies to racks and cool completely. (Can be prepared up to 3 days ahead). Store in airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 4 dozen.

4. Stir in the flour mixture; beating until well blended. Roll into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly using the back of a fork.
5. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool for 1 minute on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 48 cookies.
